The voice for over 100 Characters

Erica Schroeder is one of New York’s premier voice actresses and is an actor, singer, writer, director and educator. She has provided the voice for over 100 characters in the world of animation for television, film and video games over the past 14 years.  If you grew up watching cartoons on the FOX BOX, The CW, 4K!DSTV, Toonzai, Cartoon Network and Nicktoons, then most likely you’ve heard many of Erica’s beloved characters. She has voiced ten characters in the five different YU-GI-OH! series including: Mai Valentine, Akiza Izinski, Dark Magician Girl, Rally Dawson and Cathy Catherine.

Over the years she has voiced over fifty characters and  various Pokemon on Pokemon including: Nurse Joy, Fantina, Bianca, Grace, Meloetta, Pidove, Panchum, Sylveon, and many more. Other notable roles include: Monkey D. Luffy in One Piece, Blaze and Wave from the Sonic video games, Emma Frost in Joss Whedon’s Stop Motion Comic Astonishing X-Men, Faragonda, Icy, Piff, Daphne, Galatea, Squonk and Kritty in Winx Club, Lyserg from Shaman King, Rai and Komorka on Tai Chi Chasers, Bridgette Verdant from Mew Mew Power, Olgariki from Go Go Riki, and from the makers of THE TRIPLETS OF BELLEVILLE, The voice of the Spirit of the Mountain (with Sean Schemmel) in The Boy Who Wanted to Be a Bear, The Witch in the Cannes Film Festival’s Little Long Nose and many more titles. Newer roles and releases include: Melissa Trail in Yu-Gi-Oh! Arc V, Akemi in Zetman, Yurika in Psychic School Wars, Zarafa in Zarafa, Nagako in Mai Mai Miracle and her newest role to hit Saturday morning, Astoria Rapunzel in Nickelodeon’s new fantastical animated series, Regal Academy.

In addition to the several Pokemon, Sonic and One Piece video games she has voice acted in, Erica has also voiced characters in several other video game titles such as: Shadow Hearts: From the New World, Littlest Pet Shop, Dungeon Hunter V, Just Cause 3, Super Smash Brothers, Insecticide, and many more. She is currently the female voice actress for the educational website, Go Noodle, which gets kids up and moving!

Ms. Schroeder is also a stage actress and was a swing in the original Broadway cast of Jane Eyre (Original Cast Recording) and Green Girl in the original cast of SHOUT! The Mod Musical (Original Cast Recording). Other Off-Broadway appearances include: If The Shoe Fits and Don Imbroglio (NYMF, both at the Lion Theatre), Eleanor in Reverse Psychology (Urban Stages), the Anna and Edith understudy in After The Fair (The York Theatre Company) and Erica in The Forty-Nine Years (directed by and Starring Estelle Parsons at the Actors Studio).

Erica has performed and developed new works with the following theatres and organizations: The New York Music Theatre Festival, O’Neill  Music Theatre Conference, The York Theatre Company, Jewish Repertory Theatre, McCarter Theatre Center, ASCAP, La MaMa Experimental Theatre, TRU Voices, Abingdon Theatre Company, The Lark Theatre Company, NYU’s Graduate Musical Theatre Writing Program, CAP 21, The Tisch Hot Inc. Reading Series, and Immigrants’ Theatre Project.

On camera she played Jessica in the zombie genre pilot, Zom-Com, starring opposite Dan Deluca. She also appeared on Chappelle’s Show’s first season among other projects on camera. She has been in two Broadway Close-ups at The Kaufman Center, singing as a soloist with Rebecca Luker, Richard Kind, and David Margulies in Sheldon Harnick’s Tribute Concert, To Life! Ms. Schroeder graduated with honors with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Acting from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts.
